Public Sector Fleet Conference 2025: Key Takeaways and Insights
The Public Sector Fleet Conference took place on Tuesday 10 June in Westminster, bringing together around 100 fleet and transport professionals from across central government, local authorities, the NHS, and other public sector organisations. Our Framework Manager, Tom Millican, attended the event, which offered a valuable opportunity to explore key themes in public sector fleet management including evolving standards, policy, government guidelines, issues, opportunities and partnerships.
Throughout the day, professionals engaged in a wide range of sessions, including:
Private vs Public Sector: Is it harder to realise the benefits of new technologies when working within the public sector?
Police Fleet Electrification: Internal examples and lessons learnt from the Metropolitan Police.
Government Support: Run through of what the UK Government support in the transition to zero emissions looks like.
From Purchase to Disposal: Whole life costing and the future of alternative drive vehicles in Europe presented by BlueLight Commercial.
Tom had a productive day meeting with colleagues across the sector and sharing updates on our Total Fleet Solutions framework, procured with Contracting Authority Watford Community Housing. Delivered by Northgate Vehicle Hire and Enterprise Mobility Solutions.
Events like this one highlight how collaboration, shared experience and open discussion are central to progress in fleet management. We’re looking forward to continuing these conversations as the sector evolves.
